Welcome to Cookeville First Cumberland Presbyterian Church

“I rejoiced with those who said to me, ‘Let us go to the house of the Lord’.”                                                   --Psalm 122:1

Welcome to the Cookeville First Cumberland Presbyterian Church website! This congregation of believers was established in the year 1845, and has since grown to be one of the larger churches in the Cookeville area. We are a progressive church which seeks to please God through our witness, service, and fellowship. We believe in God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We also believe that God established the institution of the family to serve as the fabric of society.

Our congregation provides three opportunities for worship each Sunday and a mid-week service on Wednesday evenings. Sunday morning services begin at 8:45 and 11:00, with Sunday School offered for all ages at 10:00. A small group of members also gather in the chapel on Sunday evenings at 6:00 for an informal Vespers service. A mid-week worship service which we call Dunamis (Greek for power) takes place from 6:45 – 7:30 as a part of the church’s Wednesday Night Connection.

We invite you to browse our website to learn more about the various ministries of our church. Not only do we offer information about who we are, but we also want to share what we are doing, and how we are “doing” ministry. As you experience who we are, we trust that you will become aware of our excitement. If you need further information, please email us through the “Contact Us” link provided on the website or call the church office at (931) 526-6585.

Jesus has a plan for your life that supersedes anything you can imagine. It’s not about faith, it’s not about religion, it’s about a relationship with Jesus Christ. Come join us as we seek to serve the Lord with gladness!
