Why Sunday School?Sunday School is one of the most important educational activities of the church. During Sunday school the believer is exposed to more in-depth teaching and challenged to learn more about their faith. With Sunday School for all ages it’s an invaluable part of our church. Our ClassesWomen of the WordThis class is composed of women who feel more comfortable in an all-women’s class. It is open to women of all ages, but is currently attended by women 60 + years (more or less). This class encourages participation in our study and discussions. We feel sharing strengthens the bond of fellowship and open discussion brings new insight to the scripture and the lesson. Foundation Class: Session RoomThe Foundation Class is the newest of the adult Sunday school classes and meets in the Session Room near the front entrance next to the fountain. Originally formed as a class for young married couples, the class now welcomes singles as well. Many of the members have young children. The name Foundation was chosen because we are in the process of building the foundation for our Christian lives. Visitors are welcome and discussion is encouraged. Upper Room Class:Room M14 Upper CommonsThe Upper Room Class is made up of Senior Adults who are active in many programs of the church. They enjoy activities together including seasonal gettogethers and traveling opportunities. Friendship Class: Room M15 Upper CommonsThis class contains adult singles and couples in the 50-60 age bracket. They have as their mission to work with the Living Vine ministry one Saturday each month. The teachers are Frank Butcher and Phillip Wynn. College Class: Room B5 Lower CommonsThe College class is taught by Lanny Knight and is open to students of college age. Good News Class: Room B9 Lower CommonsBible based studies emphasizing God’s teaching in one’s daily life. Class participation and reading are done on a volunteer basis. The class is made up of many different ages leading to wonderful discussions. You are never late and everyone is welcome. Pathfinders Class: Room B11 Lower CommonsThis intimate class consists of married and single individuals who enjoy lively discussions of a diverse nature. The curriculum is varied and its members share each other’s knowledge. This class cares for one another by personal contact and fellowship.
